The QUT Creating Writing Prize is divided into two categories: an undergraduate award for QUT students and a postgraduate prize for postgraduate students enrolled in any creative writing course degree in Australia.
Entries may be in the form of a short story, creative non-fiction or poetry.Submissions are limited to 3000 words of prose or 50 lines of poetry. A panel of judges will shortlist the entries and winners will be announced at the end of year QUT Writing Gala.
The winner of the postgraduate prize will receive $2000 and the winning entry will be published in The Lifted Brow.
The winner of the undergraduate prize will receive $1000 and the winning entry will be published in Kill Your Darlings.
